What is a frost wall, and do I need one?
Frost walls are something we do a lot of around here. In Wisconsin, the ground can freeze several feet deep, and if your structure isn't protected, that freeze can cause the foundation to move and crack. A frost wall is a concrete wall poured below the frost line usually about 4 feet down that keeps your building stable. If you’re building a garage, an addition, or anything attached to your house, you’ll probably need one. I’ll let you know during the estimate if your project calls for it.
